Model DPT Door Paneling Tools
2 Models Available - Right and Left Hand
  • Crimp lip over to a 45 degree angle.

  • To cut friction, put a slight coat of liquid soap on the area to crimp.

  • Use standard air pneumatic hammer at 40 lbs. of air pressure.

  • Clamp a vice grip on the back side of the tool for a handle, applying pressure so the large face of the tool does not put a lot of pressure on the outside of the door skin.  Remember, the skins are not as thick as they used to be.  They scratch easily.
The tool crimps the lip over tight to a parallel position.
Most shops put glue on the panel and then crimp it on.  With practice, you should be able to do the panel without any distortion.
NEW! Now includes handles!
